our classes help children to be bendy, giggly, clever and strong:
bendy - develops flexibility through yoga
giggly - enhances creativity with multi-sensory stories and original music
clever - aids development with early years curriculum links
strong - promotes wellbeing and relaxation
Children Inspired by Yoga classes are unique multi-sensory, yoga inspired activity sessions, which encourage movement and enhance development through music and storytelling. Our happy and sociable classes are filled with fun, contributing to improving creativity and increasing physical confidence, combining physical activity with breathing and relaxation. All this in a supporting, non-competitive environment.
Our programme has been carefully developed by a core team of paediatric physiotherapists, yoga teachers and educationalists. It is fully aligned to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 curriculums (England).
Sessions are taught by trained teachers who come equipped with mats, music, dolls and props. Classes are available for pre-school babies and children in private classes, nurseries, schools, playgroups and children’s centres. For older children, we provide yoga sessions in schools as curriculum enrichment; breakfast, lunchtime or after school clubs; Healthy Eating and Wellbeing weeks; Planning, Preparation and Assessment PPA cover; and as part of the physical education PE curriculum.
We also run sessions at parties and events as well as holiday clubs when you would like the children to be entertained!
Please do get in touch if you would like to see our developmental, story-based sessions in your child’s school, nursery or at special events.

"I wanted an activity where my daughter was encouraged to explore and have fun without having to be still and stay on my lap the entire class. It has really helped her develop her core strength and has made her bolder in her personality... Plus she just adores Tatty Bumpkin and all her animal friends!! We couldn't recommend this class enough - WE LOVE IT!"
Kate, Mum of Annabel
"That was our very first yoga experience ever, and we liked it very much. Lianne said she liked the bath duck part (belly breathing)."
"My kids 8 & 9 loved it. They enjoyed the time and feel much more able to practice at home. The positions were fun and easy to do with a enjoyable story to aid focus for them. This was originally for my girl to help with anxiety but its now a family session."
Louisa, Mum of 2
“Tatty Bumpkin focuses on what’s really important for young children’s learning - first-hand experience, movement, music, stories, real - life interaction and free-flow play! The most important lessons in life are caught, not taught and Tatty Bumpkin will help you help your children ‘catch’ them... and have lots of fun along the way."
Sue, Nursery Manager
