Hello, my name is Ania and I am the owner of CIBY Prestwich.
Having background as a SEND Teacher I always knew how important it is for children to experience movement, I effectively used yoga as part of my teaching toolkit for years and it had an immense impact on my students and their self-regulation skills. I discovered that yoga was something more than a movement activity, it provided the structure they needed and ‘just right’ physical challenge. They were learning to experience calmness and becoming more aware of their bodies and emotions.
Our sessions are fun and engaging. They create a unique opportunity for children and babies to develop physical skills and body awareness, also in relation to their emotional state. Subsequently, children begin making connections between these two aspects forming strong foundation for their holistic wellbeing.
I am passionate about bringing yoga inspired wellbeing sessions to the local community, schools and nurseries.
Join us on our Children Inspired by Yoga adventures!
Hi, my name is Adele, and I’m a teacher for Children Inspired by Yoga Prestwich.
I worked with Ania at a school for children with complex needs and learning difficulties, and was thrilled when she invited me to join her on this Children Inspired by Yoga journey. I have a degree in Childhood and Youth Studies, in which I explored the social, cultural, political and developmental contexts that affect contemporary experiences of childhood and youth. I love captivating children’s imaginations using creative, multi-sensory methods that aid development and make learning fun.
I personally enjoy using yoga as a way to strengthen and destress. Yoga is an incredible way to create connections between the mind and body, and I feel it’s important for children to have this level of body awareness to promote positive mental health and emotional well-being.
At CIBY Prestwich, we guide children through an adventure using movement, story-telling, music and sensory props to give children a holistic experience, but most importantly we have fun! I hope you join myself and Tatty on our adventures!
