Classes for 2-7 year olds
Tatty Bumpkin classes are fun, yoga-inspired stories designed to encourage movement and enhance development. The sessions focus on giving a firm foundation for social, emotional and physical confidence – all required for future happiness and success. Each session follows an adventure, using stories, music, props and simple yoga moves based around the character doll Tatty Bumpkin.
Tatty Bumpkin classes really do help children become happy and confident – emotionally, socially and physically, which is the foundation for a happy and successful future. Success can be measured by ‘well being’ – the ultimate goal of all human endeavour, is that we feel good about ourselves and the people around us, and do things in our lives which give us a sense of meaning and value. Tatty Bumpkin will help you and your children understand what this means and how to achieve it.
All our classes are aligned to the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, and have been developed by Paediatric Physiotherapists, Yoga teachers and educationalists, to give the children a creative, well rounded, developmental and fun story session.
The Tatty Bumpkin training is accredited by CACHE (Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education).
About the classes
The terms follow the school terms and are made up of 5,6 or 7 week blocks, the topics covered in term one are:
- Dynamic movement
- Multi-sensory world

As a parent /carer you are actively encouraged to get involved in the class so you and your child can get the most from the class. You will be given a certificate at the beginning of each term, with ideas to take home and practice and each week your child will collect stickers to add to the certificate.
The sessions are run as terms so that there is a progression, and so that you will get extra value out of the time you spend in the classes.
